Anne Louise Dudek was born in the US. Dudek grew up in Massachusetts and went to Northwestern University. Her first performance was as an actor in The Iphigenia Cycle, a production at the university. At the beginning of her career she was a student at Northwestern University where she performed in various theatre productions. She also made her Broadway debut on Wrong Mountain (2000).
